What is Laser Liposuction?

This is a new technique that is a lot less invasive than traditional Liposuction.

A very small incision is made on the skin through which an optic fibre of 0.3mm diameter is passed underneath the skin to reach the fatty tissues. The laser conducted by the optic fibre than liquidate the fats before it is removed from the body.

Laser Lipolysis can be used in almost any part of the body, is less invasive, has the least risk of tissue damage among other Liposuction methods and the patient requires a lot less recovery time.

What can Laser Liposuction treat?

Similar to traditional liposuction, it can be used to treat stubborn fat pads like double chin, tummy, love handles, arms and thighs.

How does Laser Liposuction work?

Traditional liposuction utilizes a suction probe that is inserted under the skin to break up the fat deposits. In laser liposuction, the laser is adjusted to an exact frequency to deliver its energy through the initial layers of the patient's skin to reach the fat deposits that are being targeted.

What are the advantages of Laser Liposuction?

As compared to the use of micro-cannulas and even ultrasonic waves that are used in other liposuction methods to break up the fat deposits, laser-assisted liposuction is the least invasive liposuction procedure and produces the least risk of tissue damage.

In addition, a laser can also help to tighten your skin after liposuction. Patients would usually require skin lifts after traditional liposuction as the removal of fatty deposits under the skin results in unsightly, loose and inelastic skin. Skin lifts also result in scaring that makes the liposuction treatment counterproductive. A carbon dioxide laser can be used to treat the layers immediately beneath the skin. The energy from the laser helps to reconstruct these layers and pull the surrounding skin inwards, giving a lifting effect.

Who should use Laser Liposuction?

This procedure is suited for those who have worked hard to get rid of fat and have some fatty deposits that just won't go away.

For those who are adverse to pain, this procedure can be extremely painless and accurate compared to traditional liposuction techniques.

It is a little more expensive than traditional Liposuction but the results are amazing and it is well worth it.
