What is RelaxF (RF)?

This treatment uses radio frequency energy to heat up tissues under the skin. The heated tissues contract which induces the response that causes the skin to tighten.

This non-surgical “facelift” technique can be applied to anywhere on the body where there is sagging skin.

What are the benefits of Radio Frequency treatments?

With this procedure, you can achieve tighter skin and renewed facial contours. It can also smooth out wrinkles, leaving you with a more youthful appearance. Unlike facelifts, Radio Frequency treatments require no incisions or downtime from daily activities.

How does RF work?

The RF procedure delivers radiofrequency energu into the collagen layers into the collagen layers of the skin. The radiofrequency energy heats a large volume of collagen in deeper layers of the skin and its underlying tissue while at the same time cooling the outer layer and protecting it. The deep structures in the skin will immediately tighten, giving you a healthy, smooth looking skin.

Over a period of about 6 months, new collagen grows to further tighten your skin and produce a more youthful, vibrant, natural appearance.

How long does a Radio Frequency treatment take?

Depending on the size of the area being treated, it takes between 10 minutes to an hour.

As there is no downtime, patients can have this procedure done during lunch time and return to work looking younger and more radiant.

Is this procedure painful?

There is a minimal amount of pain. Most patients experience a brief, deep heating sensation in the treatment area.

What can I expect after the treatment?

After treatments, your skin will feel tighter and smoother. Additional tightening will occur over the next 3 to 6 months.

How long will the results last?

The results of the Radio Frequency procedure may last for two years or longer. Follow up treatments are recommended in order to maintain optimal results.

What are the side effects?

Side effects are infrequent. They include swelling, redness, bumps and blisters. These generally disappear in a few days.
